At Culligan, we think it’s important to know what’s in your water. Many contaminants go unnoticed, while others may seem trivial — but we know that understanding exactly what’s in your water is the first step to fresher, better-tasting water that you can drink and use with confidence, every day.
Basic, In-Home Water Test
Our basic, in-home water test is free and easy. All you have to do is schedule an appointment with your local Culligan Expert, online or over the phone. We’ll sample your tap water and test it right in your kitchen — you can even watch, it’s pretty neat!
Some things we’ll look for:
- Overall water hardness
- Nitrates
- Total dissolved solids
Although results can vary, the test takes about 10 minutes or less. Once the test is complete, we’ll share the results with you and discuss options for addressing any water problems. If your Culligan Expert uncovers a more serious concern based on the results from this test, a water sample can be sent to our laboratory for more comprehensive analysis.
Comprehensive, Lab-Certified Water Test
If you have a specific concern, your Culligan Expert can perform a comprehensive, lab-certified water test as an alternative to our free in-home water test.
Culligan’s lab test reveals harder-to-identify water contaminants, including:
- Arsenic
- Lead
- E. coli
- Nitrates
This test starts at $79.95, and your water sample will be sent to our EPA-certified lab for in-depth analytical testing. Results will be returned in about three days, which is when your Culligan Expert can discuss the findings and recommendations with you.
