Culligan Addresses Community’s Concerns about Safe Drinking Water in Local Schools
News about the potential presence of chromium-6 in municipal drinking water supplies continues to cause anxiety among residents in communities across the country, spurring some local businesses to help ease residents’ worries about the quality and safety of their local water supply.
Recently, community members in Hinkley, CA voiced concerns about the safety of students’ drinking water at Hinkley Elementary and Middle School. In response, the Hinkley school system was recently supplied with 50 5-gallon containers of water and several water coolers thanks to a partnership between Pacific Gas & Electric and Culligan Water Systems. Culligan will also deliver another nine water coolers, along with 350 water bottles for students and will continue to supply water to the school every two weeks.
While municipal systems provide safe drinking water, Culligan is available to provide similar support to any community, school or municipality that has concerns about their water quality.
Additionally, Culligan can provide homeowners with information on advanced reverse osmosis water filtration systems – like the Culligan Aqua-Cleer® Drinking Water System - that can reduce the presence of harmful impurities1 like lead, radium, aesthetic chlorine, arsenic and others, like hexavalent chromium in their home water supply.
